Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help.

FLUME REDDIT FULL

Mine’s been there for over a year now, no issues, and battery still shows full in the app. “Installation” is just attaching it to your meter with the supplied rubber strap.

FLUME REDDIT INSTALL

Flume is way easier to install compared to Flo. As of July 2021 they have disabled text alerts, now you only get app notifications, no more text messagesĤ. You need to set the leak detection notifications in the Flume app yourselfģ. Flume will only alert you of leaks, not shutoff the water (need something else for shutoff as suggested above)Ģ.

It has alerted me of a couple of real leaks (a running flush once and a burst sprinkler pipe the other time…can’t imagine how much water would have been wasted by that one) and worked perfectly when I tried to replicate a slow leak intentionally by letting a faucet drip. I Made a simple 'skin' wallpaper for dual 4K monitors, which you can check out here. Then on tracks like go the cohesion is incredible. But there are some many unreal concepts, build-ups, use of experimental sounds but the cohesion on tracks like I can’t tell and Escape are terrible. Then go Edit>Filling>Content aware and then press ok. Flume is so confusing to me (maybe that is the point of their tunes). However I’ve been so happy with Flume that I am planning to keep it. Paste the image in there and mark the sides where there is nothing. I bought Flume about a year ago thinking this was temporary until I can find time (and a plumber) to install Flo. To pay for the unit, then a plumber all out of pocket is a harder sell. If my utility gave me almost $500 to put one in, I would do it. Once the "oooh new shiny" of the app wears off you might as well delete it. Overall it's pretty cool, but only a few of the features actually matter and work (mainly the ability to add it to automations in HA and control w/ other sensors and geolocation). It kept shutting the water off during showers, which is NOT FUN. The "learning" period where it learns your water use habits can be a bit of a pain, and I had to contact Moen to reset it once. It will also automatically test your house for leaks every night, and it is pretty good at that. Some home insurance companies also offer a discount for Flo, so that's worth looking into. It's pretty bad at detecting what fixture is being used, especially if you have an RO system or something. Most of the AI in the app is gimmicky and inaccurate. If it goes into Armed mode, it will immediately shut the water off if there's any usage. You can also arm and disarm the valve based on your geolocation in HA. I eventually plan to add it to an automation where if one of my leak sensors detects a leak, it closes the Flo valve.

FLUME REDDIT UPDATE

I'm not sure they update at all unless I reboot my HA instance TBH. The water pressure, temp, gallons used and flow rate hardly ever update (in the HA integration, they are fine in the Flo app). I haven't tested the integration in HA beyond the fact that it shows some statuses.
